Why is renting the best option to explore the island?
Ibiza stretches approximately 41 km in length and 20 km in width, with attractions scattered all over the island. The main clubs are concentrated in the south, while some of the most beautiful beaches are located in the north. For this reason, getting around is essential to fully experience everything the island has to offer. Renting a vehicle is the most convenient and cost-effective solution, allowing you to move freely, avoid expensive taxi fares, and make the most of your time during your stay.
What does the Basic Liability Insurance (RCA Basic) include?
The RCA Basic includes standard insurance coverage for your vehicle, allowing you to explore the island with peace of mind. It includes a deductible of up to €300 for damages to the vehicle. It does not cover liability for damage to people or third-party property.
You can also choose to upgrade to RCA Premium, which is a full coverage insurance. This means that, regardless of the extent of the damage, all costs are fully covered by the insurance. Naturally, the Premium option comes at an additional cost compared to the Basic coverage included in the rental price.
Is it better to rent a car or a scooter to explore the island?
Among the various transportation options available on the island, a car is generally the most recommended choice due to comfort, safety, and greater freedom of movement. Upon arrival at the airport, having luggage makes a car especially practical, allowing travelers to hit the road right away without delays or logistical hassles.
It’s also important to consider that, due to the island’s layout and the frequent presence of sand on the roads—especially on windy days—grip can be reduced. In this context, a car offers a more stable and comfortable ride compared to a scooter.
Another advantage is the availability of secure parking areas near major clubs and restricted traffic zones, making evening travel easier and safer.
Is pick-up and/or drop-off at the airport possible?
Absolutely! Airport or hotel pick-up and drop-off is available—and highly recommended. At a lower cost than a taxi, you can conveniently pick up your vehicle upon arrival at the airport and enjoy it for the entire duration of your holiday. When it’s time to leave, you can simply return the vehicle at the airport, saving time and making your travel experience much smoother.
